The Store Of Holistic MassageHolistic Massage started with the shared belief of my Husband and myself; that living a healthy and balanced life isn't as out of reach as people think. Both Kevin and I (Jonathan) were constantly researching Do-It-Yourself health tips and tricks. Everything from learning to work out at home with no equipment, to cooking your own meals so that you can nourish your body with a healthy, real food became our subject of study. It almost felt as if we were putting ourselves in school.
It wasn’t until I stumbled upon a serious roadblock - trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. That was when Kevin suddenly thought of an idea that would change our lives: enrolling at a massage school. Once we were in massage school, everything started to feel like it was clicking and making more sense. Learning about the body as if it was it’s own mini-ecosystem, or universe if you feel like being more poetic. It was this idea that everything is connected and our exposure to the world around us either contributes or throws into chaos the Holistic balance of the self. Massage seemed to us, the only modality that really treated the body in this holistic capacity, and that was what drew us into our studies so passionately. That passion has only grown since and we have become increasingly interested in creating balance in our lives. The name, “Holistic Massage”, was born out of this idea that massage is the center of a healthy and balanced lifestyle. For example, we all need to work out to be healthy, but that in and of itself causes its own issues. These issues can be managed through massage. We must all put ourselves in intense circumstances that help us to grow and evolve into stronger and wiser individuals, yet that also takes its toll in the form of stress. Massage handles these side effects as well. Truthfully, there are very few circumstances in life where we feel massage cannot contribute in some way. It was this unwavering belief that lead us to where we are today. |
